The Founding Pillar
Mr. Damodar Lal Khandelwal
In 1974, from a modest booking desk in Transport Nagar, Jaipur, Mr. Damodar Lal Khandelwal established what was originally known as MP Maharashtra Transport Service. At a time when interstate freight across Rajasthan, MP, and Maharashtra was plagued by delays and unverified middlemen, he established a simple rule: treat every customer’s consignment as if our own family name depended on its safe arrival.
The Story of the "Sealed Promise"
"During the severe monsoons of 1989, torrential floods washed out key highway bypasses near the MP-Maharashtra border. Other brokers abandoned their trucks on the shoulder, but a major Jaipur textile mill was facing heavy penalties on an emergency export consignment bound for Mumbai port. Mr. Damodar Lal Khandelwal personally rode in the cabin of the single-axle truck, navigating a 90 km unpaved rural detour through Kota and Indore. The consignment reached the Mumbai docks four hours before the ship departed."

As Rajasthan transformed into a hub for automotive manufacturing, heavy engineering, and stone processing, Mr. Gyan Chand Khandelwal spearheaded the company’s evolution into AG Transport Company. Under his leadership, the fleet transitioned into high-capacity 32-ft sealed MXL container units and specialized multi-axle trailers—building direct industrial corridors to Pune (Chakan MIDC), Pithampur, Sanand GIDC, and JNPT Port.
